This Privacy Policy explains how Zeltino handles personal data when you visit our website, create or use an account, contact us, or interact with a Zeltino-powered chat.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Zeltino is responsible for personal data collected through its own website, accounts, sales, and support activities. When a business uses Zeltino on its website, that business generally decides why and how visitor conversation data is processed. In that case, the business is the controller and Zeltino processes the data on its instructions.
2. Data we collect
We may collect:
- Account and contact data, such as your name, work email, company, login details, and support messages.
- Service content, such as chatbot settings, approved knowledge sources, conversation content, leads, and form responses.
- Usage and device data, such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and feature activity.
- Billing and transaction data when you buy a paid service. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, which handles payment details under its own privacy notice. We do not receive your full card details.
- Browser storage used to remember your preferences and keep you signed in, as described in section 8.
Please do not submit sensitive personal data to Zeltino unless it is necessary and authorized.
3. How we use data
We use personal data to:
- provide, maintain, and secure Zeltino;
- create accounts and deliver requested features;
- answer questions and provide support;
- process transactions and manage subscriptions;
- monitor performance, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors;
- improve our services using aggregated, de-identified, or appropriately protected data;
- send service messages and, where permitted, marketing communications; and
- comply with law and protect users, Zeltino, and others.
Where applicable, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or compliance with legal obligations.
4. How we share data
We may share personal data with:
- service providers that host, secure, analyze, support, or help deliver Zeltino;
- Cloudflare, which checks sign-up requests for automated abuse using Turnstile. It processes your IP address and technical browser signals only to tell people from bots, as described in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum;
- integrations and recipients selected by the customer;
- professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety; and
- a buyer or successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business.
We do not sell personal data for money. Service providers may use data only for the agreed purpose and under appropriate safeguards.
5. Retention and international transfers
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including account operation, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention periods depend on the type of data and the customer’s settings.
Data may be processed in countries other than the one where it was collected. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, or receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data protection authority.
You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link. Browser settings can control many cookies. To make a privacy request, contact the Zeltino support channel associated with your account or the contact channel shown on our website. We may need to verify your identity.
7. Security, children, and third-party services
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No online service is completely secure, so please protect your credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Zeltino is intended for business users and is not directed to children. Links and integrations provided by third parties are governed by their own privacy terms.
8. Cookies and local storage
We use only the browser storage needed to provide what you ask for. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
- Our website saves your language choice, and whether you closed the language suggestion, in your browser's local storage. It sets no cookies.
- The Zeltino app stores your sign-in session so you stay logged in.
- Sign-up is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs an invisible check in your browser and sets no tracking cookies.
- The Zeltino chat widget on our customers' websites stores the visitor's open conversation in the browser so it continues across pages. The website owner is responsible for informing their visitors about it.
- Checkout is provided by Paddle, which may use cookies needed to process payments and prevent fraud, under its own privacy notice.
You can clear this data in your browser settings at any time. If we add analytics or marketing tools, we will ask for your consent first and update this section.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Zeltino or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and change the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required.
This document is designed to be clear and concise. If an order form or data processing agreement applies, it may include additional terms.
