Create a flow from a template

Start from a Zeltino chat-flow template, configure its parameters and assets, and review every block before activation.

Starting from a blank canvas is useful when the journey is already clear. When you are exploring a common welcome, sales, commerce, or support pattern, a template can help you see how the pieces fit together.

Templates create a starting canvas that may include triggers, messages, questions, branches, forms, categories, and values you need to provide. They are designed to be reviewed and adapted, not activated without checking the details.

In this article, you'll learn:

Available templates#

Choose by the visitor situation and outcome rather than by the number of steps:

  • Coupon email capture
  • Smart greeting for new visitors
  • Returning visitor re-engagement
  • Visitor qualification + lead capture
  • Checkout hesitation discount
  • Technical issue detection
  • High-ticket schedule call
  • Order issue detection

Open the template details before choosing. The description, trigger, outcome, and required assets tell you whether it fits the journey you actually want to create.

Configure the template#

Some templates only need copy changes. Others ask for values such as a coupon code or URL and may prepare a reusable lead form or conversation category.

  1. Open the Chat Flow templates.
  2. Select a template and review its steps and intended outcomes.
  3. Enter required values such as a coupon code, page URL, or meeting URL.
  4. Review any lead forms or conversation categories the setup will create or select.
  5. Create the flow.
  6. Inspect every block on the resulting canvas.

Support-oriented templates can expect category notifications to be enabled. Confirm that every created asset belongs in your team's operating process and uses wording your organization has approved.

Adapt without breaking the journey#

After the flow is created, read it from the trigger downward as if you were the visitor. Keep the trigger aligned with the first message. If you add a branch, validate every path. If you replace a form, ensure it is active and contains the fields required by later actions. If you replace a category, choose an enabled category and confirm its notification settings.

Newly created flows remain paused, giving you time to replace sample values and test the journey. Resolve all setup warnings before activation.
