Add your website

Add public website knowledge to Zeltino by discovering useful pages or entering a page directly.

On this page

Your website already contains many of the answers visitors look for. Instead of copying that information into Zeltino by hand, you can add the relevant public pages as knowledge sources and keep the assistant connected to the material your team has approved.

If you are not sure which pages will be most useful, Zeltino can scan the website and prepare suggestions for you to review. If you already know the exact page, you can add it directly.

In this article, you'll learn:

Find pages automatically#

Automatic discovery is a good starting point when the website has several product, help, pricing, or policy pages. Zeltino prepares a review list rather than adding everything immediately, so you remain in control of the final selection.

  1. In Settings, under Learning data, select Website links.
  2. In Find knowledge pages automatically, enter the website you want to scan.
  3. Select Find pages.
  4. When Zeltino shows Pages ready to review, open the review. If you leave and return, select Resume.
  5. Review every suggestion and select only pages with useful, current business information.
  6. Check the capacity summary, then select Add pages.
  7. Review the result for pages marked Added, Already added, or Failed. Retry a failed page after confirming it is publicly accessible.

Zeltino can suggest pages such as help, product, pricing, and policy pages. A suggestion is not an endorsement of its accuracy, so open and read the page before importing it. Choose the version your team treats as current and authoritative.

Add one page directly#

Use this option when you already know the exact source URL—for example, when you are adding a newly published policy or a specific help article.

  1. On Website links, select Add website link.
  2. Enter the complete public page URL, including https://.
  3. Enter a required Source hint that explains when the assistant should use the page.
  4. Select Add website link.
  5. Wait until the source shows Fetched or Complete.

The Source hint helps distinguish this page from the rest of your knowledge. For example, a shipping page could use Use for delivery locations, delivery time estimates, and shipping restrictions. Once the source is Fetched or Complete, it is ready for a test question.

Review the imported sources#

Adding the pages is only the first part of the job. Before relying on them in customer conversations:

  • remove duplicate or outdated pages;
  • avoid importing multiple pages that disagree about the same policy;
  • use Refresh after a public page changes;
  • test both a direct question and a follow-up question in the widget.

What adding a page does#

Zeltino retrieves and processes the selected page as a knowledge source for the current project. It does not continuously browse the website or automatically treat every linked page as knowledge.

This means you decide which pages belong in the source set. When a public page changes, return to Website links, refresh that source, and test the updated answer after processing finishes.
